Loma Vista utilizes positive behavior interventions and support; PBIS for short. PBIS includes pro-social behaviors and has an emphasis on using positive reinforcement to help increase the frequency of desired behaviors.

Loma Vista Immersion Academy works to cultivate opportunities for student leadership.

Loma Vista offers all students special enrichment classes, sometimes referred to simply as “specials”. Students in all grade levels (TK-6) have access to music, library, garden, and physical education special enrichment.

Loma Vista Immersion Academy implements an evidence and research based social-emotional learning curriculum called Second Step. Students receive lessons each week that go through ways to deal with social emotional challenges and provide tools to support students when these challenges arise.

This Dual Immersion program emphasizes a bilingual, biliterate and bicultural community with positive cross-cultural attitudes and skills resulting in an enriched experience for all learners as well as the community.
